Privacy policy
Quor is an iPhone medication tracker developed by Tanner Davidson. This policy explains how the app handles information.
Information on your device
Quor stores medicine details, schedules, treatment dates, instructions, saved label photos, dose history, and appearance preferences on your device. No account is required. Quor does not operate a server that receives your medicine records or label photos. The app includes no advertising or analytics SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites.
Camera and label scanning
With your permission, Quor uses your camera to photograph a label. You may also choose an image with Apple’s photo picker. Text recognition runs on your device using Apple’s Vision framework. Label photos are not uploaded for recognition. A photo is stored locally when you save it with a medicine. Manual entry is available without a photo.
Medication searches
When you search, Quor sends your search text to the service you select: NLM RxNorm at rxnav.nlm.nih.gov or the FDA National Drug Code directory at api.fda.gov. These services also receive connection information needed to process an internet request, such as your IP address. Their handling of requests is governed by their own policies.
Quor does not send saved label photos, dose history, or complete medicine records with these searches. Manual entry works without a database search.
Service information: NLM privacy policy and FDA privacy policy.
Reminders and widgets
Quor supplies reminder information to Apple’s local notification and alarm systems. Its widget extension receives medicine and schedule information through local shared storage. Widget data does not include label photos or written instructions.
Medicine names and dose details may appear in notifications, alarms, and widgets. Anyone who can see those parts of your screen may be able to read them. Manage these features in Quor and iPhone Settings. You can revoke camera, notification, and alarm permissions in iPhone Settings.
Backups
Quor does not provide its own cloud synchronization service. Depending on your settings, app data may be included in backups managed by Apple. Those backups are governed by Apple’s policies and your backup settings.
Retention and deletion
Saved information stays on your device until you remove it. Deleting a medicine removes its record and saved label photo and cancels its reminders. Existing dose-history entries are retained; remove individual entries using Undo in History.
Deleting the app, rather than offloading it, removes its local app data. Copies in device backups may remain until you manage or delete those backups. Photos separately saved outside Quor are not removed by deleting the app. The developer cannot access or remotely delete your local medicine records.
Website and support
This website is hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub processes website connection information under its privacy statement. The site adds no analytics, advertising, or cookies of its own.
Support is provided through GitHub Issues. Issues and their contents are public. Do not include prescription labels, medicine lists, dose history, or other private health information. GitHub handles account and issue information under its privacy statement. Support messages remain in the issue history unless removed through GitHub’s controls. Contact Tanner Davidson through the support channel for app or privacy questions, using a general description without personal health details.
Changes
This policy may change when Quor’s features or data practices change. The effective date identifies the current version.
